INSTRUCTIONS
Preparation: Etch the dentine and enamel surfaces by applying BDT’s 37% phosphoric acid etching gel, or similar. Etch dentine for 15 seconds and etch enamel for 20 seconds minimum. Rinse and then dry. (Use pulp protection if required.)
Bonding to dentine or enamel & dentine: Brush on Dentine Primer. Ensure that the dentine and enamel surfaces are thoroughly wetted with the primer. Dry gently but thoroughly.
Bonding only to enamel: For restorations where only enamel is involved and there is no exposed dentine, Universal Adhesive can be used directly provided care is taken to ensure that the enamel surface is well etched and dry.
Apply the bonding agent: Apply Universal Adhesive to the dentine and enamel surfaces with a brush tip applicator. Ensure complete coverage. Lightly air dry.
Curing: Light cure for 15 seconds.
Always replace the cap after use.
2) Ceramic Primer
Ceramic primer is a silane based coupling agent for bonding composite resin to ceramics.

INSTRUCTIONS
Instructions for Ceramic Veneers
Silane Treatment (Veneers etched by the lab.)
Apply Ceramic Primer to the bonding surface of the veneer. Gently blow dry, oil free air across the surface to evaporate the solvent completely. Cover and set aside until required. Replace dropper bottle cap immediately after use.
TOOTH PREPARATION
Step 1: Remove temporary veneer and bonding resin. Microblast enamel surfaces.
Step 2: Etch exposed dentine for 15 seconds and enamel surfaces for 20 seconds, minimum, by applying BDT Etching Gel 37% phosphoric acid. Rinse thoroughly then dry. Note: As contamination will reduce bonding sites and therefore bond strength, it is essential that surfaces are clean and DRY.
Step 3: Brush on 1 or 2 coats of BDT Dentine Primer ensuring complete coverage. Dry gently but well. Note: If using 2 coats, dry gently with air for 3-5 seconds between coats.
Step 4: Apply a thin layer of BDT Universal Adhesive to the bonding surface of the tooth and light cure each area for 15 seconds. Apply and cure opaquer, if required.
CAUTION
Use protective eye wear.
VENEER BONDING
Step 1: Apply a thin layer of BDT Universal Adhesive to the bonding surface of the Veneer. Place luting cement if required.
Step 2: Carefully place the Veneer into position. Clean excess adhesive and/or appropriate luting material of choice from the
Veneer margins.
Step 3: Light cure the gingival margin, the body, and the incisal margin, for at least 20 seconds in each area.
PORCELAIN REPAIRS
Step 1: Select the appropriate type and shade/s of composite restorative using normal colour matching techniques.
Step 2: Using a rubber dam or cotton rolls, isolate the porcelain facing or crown to be repaired.
Step 3: Using a diamond bur, remove all weakened porcelain, roughen the surfaces to be bonded and to provide suffi cient space for the composite. Bevel the margins and remove 1mm of surface glaze beyond the margin. Do not remove retention beads if present, and provide as much mechanical retention as possible.
Step 4: Micro blast the surfaces to be bonded: porcelain, metal and enamel.
Step 5: Etch instrumented porcelain with HF acid etch. Follow manufactures instructions.
Step 6: Etch metal surfaces for 60 seconds and any enamel for 20 seconds, minimum, with 37% phosphoric acid. Rinse thoroughly for 15 seconds. Dry with clean, dry air.
Step 7: Porcelain and metal priming: Using a brush, apply three coats of BDT ceramic primer. It is necessary to dry between each coat.
Step 8: Gently blow clean dry air across the surface or allow the solvent to evaporate completely. Note: Any contamination will reduce bonding. Repeat steps 6 and 7 if contamination occurs.
Step 9: Apply a uniform coating of BDT Universal Adhesive to the primed porcelain and metal surfaces, and to any prepared enamel. Any exposed dentine must be primed first. Light cure each area for 15 seconds.
Step 10: Mask any exposed metal surfaces. Cure the masking agent.
Step 11: Place the appropriate shade/s of composite as per your preferred method.
Step 12: Finish and polish the composite. Note: In the course of porcelain repair, if any enamel and/or dentine surfaces are exposed, they must be prepared for bonding. Refer to the instructions for bonding to tooth structure.
3) Universal Adhesive
For use with the total etch technique. Light cured hydrophobic resin bonds dentine, composite, resin based luting materials and silanated porcelain.

INSTRUCTIONS
INTRODUCTION
Universal Adhesive is an acrylic resin-based bond that can be used to bond composite resin materials directly to prepared tooth enamel and metal. It can also be used, in conjunction with BDT’s “Dentine Primer” or “Ceramic Primer”, to bond to dentine and ceramics.
INSTRUCTIONS
Preparation: Etch dentine for 15 seconds and enamel surfaces for 20 seconds minimum by applying BDT’s 37% phosphoric acid etching gel, or similar. Rinse and then dry.
Bonding only to enamel: For restorations where only enamel is involved and there is no exposed dentine, Universal Adhesive can be used directly provided care is taken to ensure that the enamel surface is well etched and dry.
Bonding to dentine or enamel & dentine: Brush on Dentine Primer to moist dentine and enamel surfaces. Ensure that the dentine and enamel surfaces are thoroughly covered with primer. Air dry gently but thoroughly.
Apply the bonding agent: Apply 1 or 2 coats if required, of Universal Adhesive to the dentine and enamel surfaces. Ensure that the dentine and enamel surfaces are thoroughly wetted with the bond. Lightly thin with air between coats if using 2 coats.
Curing: Light cure for 15 seconds.
Always replace the cap after use.
